Inquiry - NI Gambling Regulations

About

An inquiry that will examine options for a new regulatory framework that reduces gambling related harms and consider how a new regulatory authority and health and social care can work together to address:

  • the availability and accessibility of gambling

  • the safety of gambling products

  • advertising and other practices of the industry

  • public health messaging and gambling harm prevention and

  • the creation of a joined-up treatment system.

The APPG invites written evidence from the public, organisations, industry bodies and academics on the attached terms of reference by Friday, 6 November 2020.

Submissions should be in Word format, include a contact name, organisation name, contact email address and telephone number and be emailed to secretariat@gamharmapg.org.

The APG will announce its oral evidence sessions, shortly. If you would like to appear before the group, please contact the group secretariat by Friday, 23 October 2020.

A subsequent inquiry report will make recommendations to the Northern Ireland Executive on a new Gambling Bill.
